Name's Siddhi Kulkarni and I am absolutely thrilled that you are here checking out my brand, my merchandise, and now my story!!
I am originally from Pune, a lovely city in India; and this is where I spent the first 32 years of my life.
In 2022, my husband, then 4-year-old daughter and I packed our bags and moved our home from India to Singapore. We navigated through this journey of expat life balancing the excitement of living in a beautiful new country; with the nostalgia of our homeland days.
And that is when the idea of Mood Desi started taking shape.

What's in a name?
Because clichéd as it may sound, India is not just a country, it is an emotion. It is as much a feeling of comfort and home, as it is a feeling of vibrancy and joy. The word 'Desi' embodies so many colours, cultures, crafts, and customs. Even the smallest of things - a sparkly jhumka, a colourful dupatta, or a beautiful ornament in the living room; can transport you to your happy place. And well, we would like to help you get there.

So when you are in a 'mood' for something 'desi', you no longer need to wait for your next trip to India to liven up your wardrobes, or your homes.
